Tommy Dziallo
Tommy Dziallo has been a fixture of the Chicago music scene for decades. Influenced by the Blues, Country, and Rock N’ Roll, Tommy practiced long hours to perfect his skills. He also experimented with effects and various amplifications to design and create unique tones specific to his style. He perfected his technique and took it to new levels. In addition, he mastered the bass and drums. His versatility was so advanced that as a teenager he was already a standout.
Peter Brown’s 1978 pop hit “Dance with Me” features Tommy on guitar and bass reaching #8 on Billboard’s Hit Parade. Tommy performed live on Dick Clark’s American Bandstand with the Peter Brown Band and at Madison Square Garden opening for George Clinton Parliament Funkadelic. Tommy played guitar and bass on Brian Stevens “Faded Dreams” LP in 1979 and in the early 80’s recorded the LP “Desert Moon” with STYX frontman and keyboardist, Dennis DeYoung, playing guitar, bass, and drums. Tommy continued touring and recording with Dennis as his go-to guitarist for the next 25 years.
When not on the road, Tommy was a sought after session player recording hundreds of TV and radio jingles. He also started writing and recording some of his own material. His instrumental “Dziallo Mold” is featured on WDW Live.
Tommy Dziallo is a consummate professional. His mastery of finger picking, blazing leads, and lush, dense chord work are his signature and his versatility in playing bass and drums are an added distinction. To say Tommy Dziallo is an experienced and accomplished musician would be an understatement.
