Randy Poniatowski

Randy Poniatowski expresses his complete control of such keyboard instruments as the Hammond organ, Yamaha electric grand piano and synthesizer. Whether he performs in the intimate surroundings of Park West or the outrageous fury of the Aragon Ballroom, Randy has always given his all. Having performed professionally for decades, he has the stage confidence and musical maturity that is acquired only from experience.

Early in his career, Randy performed with a popular Midwestern band, “Sundance”, which enjoyed a strong following. He left this band to become a member of the now classic rock band, The Cryan Shames, remembered for many of their top forty hits including: “Sugar and Spice,” “Up on the Roof,” and “Mr. Unreliable.” Constantly increasing his competency on the keyboards. Randy began to develop his own style of playing; patterned after one of his all time favorite, Ray Charles. Randy’s vocal ability added the middle of the band’s harmony, while furthering his versatility.

With the Cyran Shames, Randy shared the stage with such noted acts as Peter Frampton, Gary Wright, Kansas, and Firefall. Experiencing national acclaim taught Randy many invaluable lessons; and the knowledge gained, as well as, the exciting memories will stay with him for all time. However, after years on the road and only mild success in the seventies, the “Cryan Shames” disbanded.

Randy Poniatowski is a superb veteran performer, confident of his capabilities and always willing to make that extra effort for his audience. Randy’s vocals add a special harmonic blend and his keyboard work is excellent. Randy Poniatowski is truly an exceptional performer.
